According to WikiPedia (Dec 3rd, 2006), the soul is:
The soul, according to many religious and philosophical traditions, is a self-aware ethereal substance particular to a unique living being. In these traditions the soul is thought to incorporate the inner essence of each living being, and to be the true basis for sentience. In distinction to spirit which may or may not be eternal, souls are usually (but not always as explained below) considered to be immortal and to pre-exist their incarnation in flesh.
According to WikiPedia (Dec 3rd, 2006), a hacker is:
A hacker is someone who creates and modifies computer software and computer hardware, including computer programming, administration, and security-related items. The term usually bears strong connotations, but may be either favorable or denigrating depending on cultural context.
According to me (1969), a SoulHacker is:
A soulhacker is someone who is actively following their own being with all its positive and negative aspects in order to achieve a state of mind that leads to harmony and inner peace.
According to this page (Dec 3rd, 2006), I am:
A geek with an attitude and these days mostly running around with suit, tie and italian shoes. Most Geeks and Nerds would probably call me a traitor, but as I just said: it's the attitude that counts. And the hacker's manifesto claims that hackers are hackers not because they wear T-Shirts but because they have a special way of thinking. Being a hacker is like being a HD-Driver: it's a way of life. (BTW, I dodge HD's because they are so boring to hack. Modern Japanese and European motorbikes are a lot more fun to modify...)
I've been in the computer and internet business for almost 30 years now and have gradually morphed into an information security and risk management professional. So, I guess I am at best an average geek cause I am not afraid of a unix shell but I tend to avoid using it if possible. And it's been a heck of a long time since I used one too!
